Greenland gets Utterly Suspicious Funding from the United States

The Arctic is the next frontline, economically or even military. The Chinese want to make a Polar Silk Road whenever ice becomes thin enough to break and open new commercial routes. Russia has reopened several military bases in the north over the last decade.

It is utterly suspicious that a government which denies global warming (Trump's America), wants assets in Greenland for economic purposes. Given that with melting ice sheets, minerals or oil would be more easily accessible for explotiation.

If a company goes and offers to build a mine in Greenland, it is kind of ok. But when a foreign government, which just to make matters more evident, offered to buy the island last year, and now they are announcing a millionaire 'aid package' for Greenland, which will sure have perverse hidden interests from the United States. Just after the failed offer to buy the island from Denmark, Americans sent delegates to offer investments on Greenland, roads, airports...

This investment, strategy is a long used strategy to get 'benefits' in exchange, it is 'mutual cooperation'. In the case of Greenland, at least for now, it resembles economical imperialism with some hints of military power.

Denmark is right to denounce this outrage, insult and aggression. Denmark and the European Union should try harder to take Greenland back to the European Community and make their hold in the Arctic stronger and invest in Greenland. Europe should seek military independence from America and dissolve the antiquated NATO. Europe should not allow American intervention in Greenland.
